Chris Okawa is an American actor and the founder of the recording studio Cricket Sound. He is the voice of Thomas Rogan and Magician in The House of the Dead: Remake.[1]

Okawa's other acting credits include Bill Weasley in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Blue's Rioter in Wasteland 3, Pongsakick Yunu in the anime number24, and Raiden from Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.[2] He has also acted in radio and television commercials for Pepsi, GEICO, Major League Baseball, and other clients.[1]

Biography[]

Chris Okawa attended the University of Arizona, where he received a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. He performed on campus at the Arizona Repertory Theatre, with roles in The Fantasticks and Othello.[3] In his senior year, he completed an audiobook for the Jay Budgett novel The Indigo Thief[4] and founded Cricket Sound, a professional recording studio that collaborates with up-and-coming voice actors.[3]

In fall 2019, Okawa started a podcast titled CENSORIOUS that ran for three seasons and 80 episodes. The podcast focused on storytelling and interviews with an anonymous co-host and guests.[5]

The House of the Dead: Remake[]

On April 15th, 2021, Okawa announced that he would voice protagonist Thomas Rogan in The House of the Dead: Remake, a remake of the 1996 horror-themed rail shooter The House of the Dead. Okawa was cast by Natalie Roers, the casting director of Forever Entertainment and the voice actor of Rogan's fiancée Sophie Richards.[6] Okawa's website described Rogan as a "dream role" for the actor.[7]

Okawa's online resume confirmed that he would also voice Magician, the final boss of the game.[1]
