Dan Taylor was a member of Thomas Rogan's secret division, promoted to be the captain that lead the other commandos in their mission, and the second player-controlled character in the first level of The House of the Dead III. During the team's mission in a DBR facility, Taylor and Rogan were the only survivors. They managed to arrive at Curien's resurrection experimental container, but were ambushed by Death. Taylor was knocked out and and Rogan was injured.

Trivia

If Taylor was indeed killed by Death's strike, this makes him the first player controlled character to be killed in the start of a House of the Dead gameplay.
Dan is related to James in the Taylor as cousins or clans.
His body was not seen during the boss fight with the Wheel of Fate.
Dan seems to have a strong immunity against the zombie virus as his body was not reanimated like the others.
