(Sega AM1's universe)
Type F-4, named Devilon (デビロン, Debiron ), is a creature resembling a bat. Devilons always fly in groups, homing in on their prey for a bite attack. They are a recurring enemy throughout the main House of the Dead series.
Bestiary Overview
Devilons are among the weakest enemies in the series, dying in one shot or after attacking the player. They squeak and/or scream upon death.
Hangedman, a bat-like boss in the series, is able to command swarms of Devilons to attack his prey. If he is damaged enough, the remaining Devilons will die.
Appearances
The House of the Dead
Referred to as Bats, the Devilons appear first in small groups. A large group of them fly around with Hangedman, who sends several of them at the players. Any remaining bat will fall when half of Hangedman's health is depleted, but the player won't gain any points from them.
The House of the Dead 2
Devilons often reside in dark tunnels in the city waterways and various areas of the Coliseum.
The House of the Dead III
Found in the Research Center and Bio Plant, Devilons reside in the air ducts. They break out of the vents when anyone gets too near them and attack the person and/or people who are near them.
The House of the Dead 4
Several large Devilon groups are found in the underground subway. (Emptiness; Chapter 3)
House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn
Devilons reappear with Hangedman in the eastern house, behaving similarly to their appearance in the original game. They are also found in Thornheart's church.
