Type D-2, named Gilmore (ギルモア, Girumoa?), is a creature appearing in The House of the Dead and its 2022 remake. Encountered in the second and third stages, he is a bald, shirtless, and skinless creature wielding a giant sledgehammer.

Appearance[]

Gilmore, wears light gray pants and black shoes. As a weapon, he holds a big sledgehammer. The sledgehammer head is silver white and the hammer rod is dark brown wood. Bald and sporting blank-white eyes, he attempts bludgeoning players with his giant sledgehammer. He appears to be skinless, revealing his muscles; another creature, Harris, has a similar appearance.

In the remake, his pants are tattered and dirty. His muscle tissues are rotten and dry now and have a new design. Now, on his bald head there are some bulky white muscle fibers. And his sledgehammer is now different, having a sharp end on both fronts of the hammer and several silver circles on both sides. Now his eyes are a little pale, but still visible. Both of his arms have voluminous white muscle fibers of different shapes and sizes. And now, his shoulders have a large, bulky pointy white fiber.

Gameplay[]

The House of the Dead[]

Gilmore's signature move is an overhead bludgeon attack with his hammer. However, despite his large health, he tends to move slow and can be killed with two headshots. At times, he approaches the player faster if shot. One can disable Gilmore's hammer by blowing off his right arm, although he can still shoulder tackle or give a mean punch.

The House of the Dead: Remake[]

He normally attacks the player with his hammer. If either of his arms are shoot off, he will loose the hammer and will proceed to hit the player with his shoulder. Because he's one of the enemies with the larger health pool, he can often survived having his head completely removed.
