The hugely obese and ironically named Temperance is a giant mutation met by Kate and James as they entered the streets of the city. Resembling a mob lord and clad in nothing but stretch pants and a single, fingerless glove, Temperance charged at Kate and James. It's body is comprised mostly of gelatinous fat, making it all but impervious to the agent's attacks. In addition, it had a habit of curling up into a ball and rolling at the target. It's weakness was it's head.
Temperance was eventually killed, but not before taking a substantial part of the city with him. Kate and James, seeing that they could not harm it through conventional means, lured it up a clock tower. Using a mechanism at the top, Kate launched Temperance from the tower and dropped a massive iron clock on it, crushing it's skull and killing it.
