(Sega AM1's universe)

The House of the Dead 2: Remake is an upcoming horror-themed rail shooting game licensed by Sega, being developed by MegaPixel Studio, and published by Forever Entertainment. It is a remake of Sega's 1998 rail shooter The House of the Dead 2. This game was first announced in September 2019.[1]
Sources have previously inconsistently titled the game as The House of the Dead II: Remake.[2] The game will have the original story, modern graphics, remastered music, original OST, co-op mode, multiple endings, branching levels, and gameplay faithful to the original game. The featured campaign modes are the Arcade Mode, and Original Mode. Boss Mode and Training Mode are returning from the original game.
In July 2021, it was reported that the remake was halfway through development. MegaPixel hoped to release it shortly after The House of the Dead: Remake.[3] Producer Artur Grzegorczyn noted that the original House of the Dead 2's source code is not lost.[4]
As of April 2024, it has been confirmed that Agent G will be voiced by Andy Wells, who will also be voicing two other characters.
On January 2025, the first trailer was revealed.[5]
On February 24, a demo consisting of the first stage was released on Steam. The demo only featured the Arcade Mode and Original Mode.
