(Sega AM1's universe)
A remake of Sega's 1998 rail shooter The House of the Dead 2 was announced in September 2019. It will be developed by MegaPixel Studio and published by Forever Entertainment.[1]
Sources have inconsistently titled the game as either The House of the Dead 2: Remake[1] or The House of the Dead II: Remake.[2] The game will have the original story, modern graphics, and gameplay adjustments.[1]
In July 2021, it was reported that the remake was halfway through development. MegaPixel hoped to release it shortly after The House of the Dead: Remake.[3] Producer Artur Grzegorczyn noted that the original House of the Dead 2's source code is not lost.[4]
During a May 2022 interview, The House of the Dead: Remake voice actor Chris Okawa stated that he does not believe that casting has begun for the House of the Dead 2 remake.[5]
