The House of the Dead II: Remake, named in some sources as The House of the Dead 2: Remake,[note 1] is an upcoming remake of the 1998 horror-themed rail shooter The House of the Dead 2. It will be developed by MegaPixel Studio, financed by TA Publishing, and published and co-produced by Forever Entertainment.[1] At this time, the remake has yet to be officially revealed and lacks a release date.

The House of the Dead II: Remake was announced in September 2019 alongside The House of the Dead: Remake. It will reportedly stay faithful to the original game's story while adding modernized graphics and gameplay adjustments.[1]

According to a recent webinar with the developers, the remake is halfway through development, with MegaPixel hoping to release it shortly after the release of The House of the Dead: Remake.[2]

  1. Sources have inconsistently titled the remake either with a number 2 or a Roman numeral II. It is currently unknown how the final title will be written.
