Tower (Type 8000) was a large mutation faced by James and Gary in The House of the Dead 2. It consisted of five snake-like monsters which were controlled by a larger blue snake. James and Gary killed the 4 snakes before following the last snake through a lake or sand and eventually killing it. They encountered the beast again in Goldman's headquarters but it was weaker the second time and was more easily dispatched.

Possible Origin

Goldman tried to make a new type of monster. He looked at a complete dictionary about insects and ancient animals. Unicorn, dragons, spiders, hydras, ants....etc. He found that hydras and dragons looked like monsters more than animals. So he want to create a monster with the traits of a hydra and a dragon. He created a model about this new monster-- 4 headed hydra with a sliver dragon in the middle of them. With the compound that is the same as Hierophant's, their skin are invincible to bullets. He named this new monster "Tower".

Attacks

All snakes (except the blue one) will attack with their mouths. Most of the time, 1 snake will attack. Some of the time, 2 snakes encounter agents at the same time. The blue snake will set free when all four snakes are dead. It can charge an attack while sliding. It will then rise up and bite its target. It will repeat the process until it is killed. Inside Goldman Building, Tower reappears, but this time, a blue snake joins the 4 other snakes to bite agents.

The Pinball of the Dead

Tower makes an appearance as the third boss in The Pinball of the Dead. Unlike his appearance in The House of the Dead 2, Tower is composed of three snakes instead of five. During the battle with Tower each one of the heads will shoot a fireball at the player. In order to defeat Tower the player must only hit two of the snakes once, while the remaining snake will require more hits before it is taken down.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

Tower appears in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing as an obstacle in the Curien Mansion: Sewer Scrapes track.
