Varla Guns to G and Isaac Washington in the ending of Ballistic Trauma.[src]

Varla Guns is one of the main protagonists of The House of the Dead: Overkill and one of the two playable characters, along with Candi Stryper, in The House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut DLC chapter "Naked Terror". She is a stripper from the Pink Pussycat and the older sister of Jasper Guns.

Appearance[]

Varla is an attractive female stripper with mid-back length violet-black hair that has bangs hanging on the right side and brown eyes.

She has a butterfly tattoo on her right arm along with rose designs, another tattoo around her belly button showing two revolvers and a tattoo on her left breast with a kiss design embedded. She has a gun holster on her right thigh with a brown strap wrapped around her legs and dark-red sunglasses resting on top of her head. She wears a mini vest revealing her ample cleavage and midriff with a high cut red skirt revealing her hips as well. She wears purple light brown boots  with purple star designs on them. In some cut-scenes, she can be seen wearing a necklace bearing the star of David and a very small black bra.

Biography[]

Varla accompanied G and Isaac Washington with the intention of avenging her younger brother Jasper Guns, whom Papa Caesar used.

By the end of the fifth chapter, she was kidnapped by Caesar and taken to the police compound.

At the end of the sixth chapter, she was shown tied up in an electric chair and then taken down an elevator by the true mastermind: prison warden Clement Darling. Later on, it is revealed that her still-living brain had been taken out of her body and placed in a jar by Clement while he had put his elderly mother's brain in Varla's body. From this moment on, Varla remained silent as she was unable to do anything, although Clement's mother claimed that "she's alive too. What's left of her."

In the end, she was taken to an escape helicopter by G where he tells her that "Varla Guns, if you can hear me, I'd like you to know I think you're the most beautiful woman I've met." (a saying that Isaac finds wrong).

Afterwards, her fate remains unknown.

Trivia[]

  • In cutscenes, Varla walks with a cocky strut to her step.
  • According to the article titled "The Making of... The House of the Dead: Overkill" by British Gaming UK back in February of 2009, Varla is modeled after a glamour model named Vikki Blows.[1]
  • Many of Varla Guns' quotes in Extended Cut throwback to the character Varla in Russ Meyer's 1965 exploitation film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!.
  • Varla is modeled after Vikki Blows, an American glamor model, in terms of design.
